e-foto

This academic initiative aims to develop free software for Digital Photogrammetry, initially for educational purposes. It has been under development by several LFSR members since 2002.

The primary objective of the e-foto project is to provide a simple and accessible set of software, essentially a free Digital Photogrammetric Workstation, that can assist students in comprehending the fundamental principles of Photogrammetry. By offering this software free of charge, it eliminates potential financial barriers that could hinder many individuals from learning about Photogrammetry. The project's success in achieving this objective is attributed to the development of intuitive and user-friendly photogrammetric software.

This project embraces a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing various fields of knowledge such as Mathematical Modeling, Geodesy, Photogrammetry, and Software Engineering. It is built upon two fundamental principles: freedom and self-teaching. The ultimate goal is to empower students to fully grasp the principles underlying Photogrammetry by engaging with the project's e-book, utilizing the software, exploring its source code, and even modifying it or developing new modules.
